Post-Doc Position at the MPI for chemical Ecology in Jena
A postdoctoral NMR position is available at the NMR laboratory of the Max Planck Institute for chemical Ecology, Jena (Germany) (http://www.ice.mpg.de). Our major focus is solution-state NMR of natural products (small molecules) with ecological implications. The laboratory is equipped with three Bruker spectrometers (500 MHz with a TCI cryoprobe and optional LC-SPE-NMR coupling; 500 MHz with full automation; 400 MHz optionally equippped with a microimaging probe, a HR-MAS probe, or diverse probes for NMR of liquid samples including a selective 19F probe).
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or physics. Previous NMR experience (preferentially biological liquids), interest in ecological projects and the willingness to cooperate with biologist are required.
The Max Planck Institute is an equal-opportunity employer and especially encourages women to apply. Applications from handicapped persons will be favored when all other qualifications are equal.
Please send your CV, representative publications, and recommendation addresses / letters to Bernd Schneider (schneider@ice.mpg.de).
