Postdoc Paris Modelling

Institut Pasteur Paris
Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry
Structural Bioinformatics Unit

24 month post-doctoral position in Computational Structural Biology.
The postdoctoral position is available immediately.

The aim of the project is to use and develop molecular modeling techniques,
to understand the architectural principles of bacterial pili, and to get insight into
their assembly.

In the project, the candidate will be responsible for the molecular modeling of
bacterial pili, based on known structures of the individual constituents, and structural
data on the assembly (from electron microscopy, and from biochemical experiments);
for modifying and developing modeling software, and for conducting molecular
dynamics simulations.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with strong
experience in structure refinement, molecular modeling, and/ or structure analysis.
