Two Magnetic Resonance Scientist positions at PNNL

The Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL), a DOE User
Facility administered by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL),
has immediate positions available for two exceptional candidates in the
area of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (either NMR or EPR). One
position represents a senior hire while the other position is a mid- to
entry-level position. Both candidates must establish a preeminent
research operation that engages the user community and takes advantage
of the novel infrastructure present within the EMSL. More information
about the EMSL can be found at the following web address:

http://www.emsl.pnl.gov/emslweb/

The senior hire must have an established national/international record
of accomplishment with a strong funding base. Further, this individual
must have a record of accomplishment in the development of novel
experimental methods to accomplish his or her experimental objectives.
Additionally, this individual must become a team leader in addressing
research objectives that cannot be typically accomplished in an academic
environment. The successful candidate should provide names of three
individuals who could serve as letters of reference. Additionally, the
applicant should provide a description of your current research efforts
(including funding sources, percent effort, etc).

The mid- to entry-level person must have at least 2 years of
postdoctoral research experience and a strong evidence of productivity.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop an exceptional
externally supported research program and also be expected to contribute
to the existing collaborative research environment. The applicant must
have three letters of reference and a statement of research plans. These
plans should reflect the research programs the applicant wants to
initiate. These plans should also include utilization of some of the
unique resources available within the EMSL.

Applicants should apply for these positions via the web by visiting

and enter the search finder for positions 116586 (the senior position)
or 116587 (the mid- to entry-level position). Letters of reference can
