Postdoctoral position in NMR spectroscopy
A one-year postdoctoral position is available starting in late
spring/summer 2009 at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology /
Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie (IECB)
(http://www.iecb.u-bordeaux.fr/). The institute was founded in 1998 and
hosts diverse and international groups covering a wide range of
scientific interests. The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree, as
well as experience in NMR spectroscopy and standard molecular biology
skills related to protein expression and biochemical assays. The
laboratory investigates structural aspects of proteins and nucleic
acids, with a focus on components of the mRNA processing machinery and
the post-translational modification of histones (for laboratory homepage
see http://www.nmrbordeaux.org/). Local equipment includes a 700MHz
spectrometer, with the addition of an 800MHz spectrometer predicted for
this year.
